IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OUR FESTIVAL
We want to share an important and difficult update regarding the Half Moon Sober Festival.
After long discussion and careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the 2026 Half Moon Sober Festival. This decision was not made lightly. The reality is that we are still carrying debt from last year’s festival, and at this time we do not have the financial resources, staffing, or volunteer support necessary to responsibly produce a festival at the level our community deserves.
While this is disappointing, it is not the end of Half Moon Sober Festival.
This is a pause and a reset.
We believe deeply in the mission of this festival and the recovery community it serves. To move forward in a healthy and sustainable way, we must first rebuild our foundation. That rebuilding requires people and volunteers who are willing to step in, step up, and help shape the future of this organization.
Looking ahead, we may have an opportunity beginning in the spring of 2026 to staff a concession stand at Gillette Stadium. This fundraising opportunity could help us eliminate debt, rebuild reserves, and move us closer to bringing the festival back. We cannot do this without a committed team of volunteers.
If you have ever thought about getting involved, this is the moment.
We are looking for people who can help with fundraising, event staffing, planning, logistics, communications, and general support. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to contribute and be part of a team that cares deeply about recovery and community.
We truly hope you will consider being part of the rebuild.
